1. Good morning Mr. Ohrenstein,

fore sure you are surprised about my mail.

I write you this mail on behalf my dad Gerd Schauerte. He is an genealogists.
Maybe you are the wrong contact…but maybe you are the right one.

My question: Are Anna Jannes ( birthname Schauerte ) and Friedrich Jannes your great grandparents? They come from germany. And her daugther was namend “Minnie”Jannes. Is she your grandmother?

    I would appreciate an answer.

    1. There is a big disconnect in my knowledge of my past. Grandparents on both sides were killed in the WWII. However, my middle name from my mother’s side is Yonas. I find the co-incidence that you point out quite interesting. My mother was from the Lodz, Poland area. I think her maiden name was Ikka. But then again, I’m not even sure of that. They did not talk about their war experiences. Thank you for your contact about this matter- David.

  2. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it
was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and
say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still
new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for inexperienced blog writers?
    I’d certainly appreciate it.

    1. Ironically, the rating system seems to like super short sentences, or at least short. The public seems to like at least 3 pictures per blog. Make a zigzag design spaced between ideas or paragraphs. If possible, write blogs on a regular basis. If someone like them, they’ll let you know that they will keep on coming back.
