Harappan Civilization & Square of Saturn Aspects

Harappan Civilization & Square of Saturn Aspects. Harappa was part of an Indus Valley Civilization .  The square of three of Saturn, pictured above, was preserved in ancient cultures worldwide. Ancients connected this square with the planet, Saturn. Both measurement and engineered are derived from this number square. Why? I believe it goes back to a destroyed civilization that predates recorded history. Perhaps it was Atlantis? Plato wrote of the reality of this legend.  Generations of survivors  made an attempt to preserve their knowledge of Atlantis through this number square. It was once the ideal behind a Golden Age.

Harappan Civilization  and its Scope

Harappan civilization  coincides with  what is Pakistan and northwest India today.  It flourished over  the fertile flood plain of the Indus River and its vicinity. Religious practices of the Indus valley culture date back to  approx. 5500 BCE. The ruins of Mohenjo-daro were designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1980.

Harappa and Mohenjo-daro were built on uniform grid-plan blocks. They had town planning and standard streets. Even houses were set out by a code. By 2350 B.C. the two cities were well established. They traded by land and sea with the Summerians.

The citadel at Harappa formed a parallelogram which drew on the math of the 3 x 3 number square

Harappa’s citadel  parallelogram is 645 from east to west. It measures 1380 feet from north to south. On length and width totals 2025 feet. This figure squares forty-five as: 45² = 2025. Look at the 3 x 3 number square. The nine numbers total 45. This is one way the civilization drew on the 3 x 3 number square.

Here’s a second: Just North of the citadel was the state granary. It measured 150 feet from east to west. The North to south width was 75 feet. One length and width totals 225 feet. Look at the 3 x 3 number square. Any row of three numbers totals 15 feet. Thus, 15² = 225.

There are many other parallels which will be the subject of future blogs. The internal link below offers  one example of the depth of the 3 x 3 number square.

common musical geometrical ratios

Common Musical Geometrical Ratios

Common Musical Geometrical Ratios. First, what is a ratio?

common musical geometrical ratios
Ratio example of intervals that make a perfect musical fourth.

Musically, in the diagram above: Every time a higher tone vibrates four times, the lower vibrates three. This creates the sound of a perfect fourth. All the perfect intervals and most harmonious tones of nature can be found at a bowling alley. Also, in the link below I explore the ratios of 6 to 5 found at Atlantis.  The size of an interval between two notes may be measured by the ratio of their frequencies. When a musical instrument is tuned using a just intonation tuning system, the size of the main intervals can be expressed by small-integer ratios, such as:

1:1 (unison),

2:1 (octave),

3:2 (perfect fifth),

4:3 (perfect fourth),

5:4 (major third),

6:5 (minor third).

Below are the only the Perfect Intervals found by bowling pins in an alley

  • The unison becomes the single, front standing pin.
  • The perfect octave is the 1st pin divided by the 2 pins in the 2nd row: 2:1 is the higher octave.
  • A perfect fifth is the ratio of the 3 pins in the third row divided by the two in the second: 3/2.
  • As mentioned, the 4 divided by the 3 makes the ratio of the perfect fourth.
Ratios are often used to describe other items as: The ratio of width to height of standard-definition television.

In mathematics, a ratio is a relationship between two numbers indicating how many times the first number contains the second.[1]

Common Musical Geometrical Ratios of 5 and 6 were used by Atlanteans!

Clues about Atlantis are also found in the Temples on Malta
The ratio of the minor 3rd is 6 to 5.  It was the basis of a multitude of ancient measures. Read the internal link about Atlantis.  One of my books, The Ancient Engineers’ Philosophy: The Pinnacle of Thought in the Unified Culture of Ancient Builders, is placed in a triangle at a temple in Malta built circa 3500 B.C.

Clues in the Search for Atlantis Come With # 5 and #6.

When it comes to music, Atlantis lives!

Plato wrote of Atlantis in Timaeus that numbers 5 and 6  were prominently featured: People were gathered every 5th and 6th years alternately: Thus giving equal honor to odd and even numbers. The gathering of the population was for judgement and atonement.

Enhancing Jupiter Creates Harmony

Enhancing Jupiter Creates Harmony. With this blog I again try to delve into the destroyed past. So much has been ruined. For one, the Library at Alexandria was burned down during Roman times.  It was the jewel par excellence of ancient knowledge.  In general, conquerors made it a habit to destroy even traces of their subdued civilizations.  Another example was ancient Carthage. It also was subdued by the Romans. About 50,000 Carthaginians were sold into slavery.[65] The city was set ablaze and razed to the ground.  Only ruins and rubble remain (feature picture). How did philosophers of the past attempt to prevent such occurrences?

Ancients tried to enhance beneficial effects of Jupiter

Jupiter was thought to the great benefactor of mankind. This is symbolized in the woodcarving of the listless angel pictured below. It displays the classic  4 x 4 number square in the background.   Ancient civilizations used this number code to call on the beneficial effects of Jupiter. In the carving,  this square is mounted underneath the bell. The bell meant to draw her attention to it. When it does, she will cheer up. Being a musician, I have blogged extensively about harmony. Reading the 3 internal links below will offer background on this little known topic.
Enhancing Jupiter through its number square.
Harmony in life comes from Jupiter and its number square.

Enhancing Jupiter – This planet was associated with luck, fortune and wealth.

  • Plato refers to the 272 as the number of harmony in his Canon Harmonia was the wife of Cadmus. Her name in Greek, spelled with the letters add up to 272. This is by the rules of gematria.  Here is the connection between the 4 x 4 number square and harmony. Total all the numbers from 1 – 16 on this square. The sum is 136. Multiply 136 x 2 = 272. Harmony is therefore the twice enhanced value square of Jupiter. That poses a question:  Is a person who finds harmony in his is life twice as happy as one who has only found wealth?

Clues in the Search for Atlantis Come With Numbers 5 and 6. The story of Atlantis comes to us from Timaeus, a Socratic dialogue, written in about 360 B.C. by Plato.  In Timaeus 5 and 6 are featured as follows: People were gathered every 5th and 6th years alternately: Thus giving equal honor to odd and even numbers. The gathering of the population was for judgement and atonement.

Music had a place of honor in the distant past.  Harmonious music vibrates in whole number ratios.  Plato, in his Republic, required it to be mandatory study until the age of 30.

The Clues are Here about how 5 and 6 Were brought together in the Distant Past to Create Peace

Five and Six were unified by a Neolithic measure called megalithic yard. It is 2.72 feet. Professor A. Thom of Oxford University discovered it in the late 1960’s. It’s use was worldwide. Below is the formula for the measure.  The product below was then taken as feet. The 12 inch foot is of great antiquity. It is not an anachronism, The cubic inch of gold was a standard unit of weight in Sumeria, Babylon and Greece. Examples can currently be found at the British Museum. A cube has 12 edges. Thus, 12 edges x 1 inch = 1 foot. Very important: note how 5 and 6 alternate in the formulas below. This gives equal honor to odd and even numbers.

  • 5 x 6/ 5 + 6 = 2.727272……the numbers of the megalithic yard

The 2.72 foot measure was also projected by the Egyptian Canon of measures. I think the MY’s relationship of 5 to 6 was rediscovered by myself?  The Egyptian formula was expressed differently. The megalithic yard was: the square root of 5  x  1.2165 foot Egyptian remen = 2.72 feet.

Israel Partakes of the 5 and 6 Tradition for Peace.

Six is obvious. It is the 6-pointed Star of David on the flag is Israel.  Finding the 5 involves gematria. This is a word that expresses the total unity the numbers and letters once had. There were no separate letter and number systems. Israel in Hebrew translates to 541  (יִשְׂרָאֵל). One (1) was often added to words for the presence of God. The tradition was called colel. How does that relate to number five? A pentagon (five-sided, plane geometrical figure) has 540 degreees. The the 540 defines the pentagon’s five sides. Again, odd and even numbers are given honor equally. This is through the pentagon that expressed Israel and hexagon that is formed its Star of David.

Units of measure in the past had longer and shorter values. The example of ratio of 175 to 176 ratio of measure was almost universal. John Michell gives examples in his New View Over Atlantis. Here’s the connection of the hunab with 5 and 6:   (6 x 6 x 6) +  (5 x 5 x 5)  =  341. That figure, as 3.41 feet for the hunab, is within 98.7% of the value of the shorter hunab. It is based on the 175 ratio of 3.456 feet. Some units of measure even had three expressions: Such was the Egyptian cubit. The longer was 1.728 feet, A middle sized one was 1.72 feet. The shorter Egyptian cubit was 1.81818…feet.

The Clues: How the Egyptians Interacted 5 and 6

The longer Egyptian cubit was 1.728 feet.It was expressed through the two feature numbers: 6 x 6 x 6 feet/ 5 x 5 x 5 feet  = 1.728 feet.

Conclusion:  Consecutive whole numbers are a great part of harmony. And, 5 and 6 were brought together in harmonious measurement. Harmonious numbers, interacting  in such low whole number ratios, produce beautiful sounds. 2:1 is the octave, 2:3 , is the fifth, 3:4 was the fourth. 4:5 was the third. It’s time to place harmonious ratios back into civilization: Be it through music, art, and architecture. Hopefully, it will rub off on us.

Roses contain mysteries and were favored in Jerusalem

Roses, the only flower allowed in Jerusalem

Roses, the only flower allowed in Jerusalem. What got me thinking about roses was the beautiful red rose bush I bought for my wife, Sharon, on her returning home. The cultivation of roses in Jerusalem is based on  an article by Joshua Siskin in the LA Daily News, dated 1/15/16. He mentions two sources: Babylonian Talmud and the great sage, Rashi (see picture below).

  • In Dava Kama, 82b “there had been rose gardens in Jerusalem from the days of the 1st prophets”.
  • Rashi states they were added to the Temple incense that was used twice a day. Cultivation of the roses was permitted for this purpose by the Jordan River.

I’ve been blogging on antiquity and number squares. This wisdom was given to me by the Oquaga Spirit. She was of the Lennie Lenape Tribe. They surrounded the area around Oquaga Lake in Deposit, New York. They were also a branch of the Algonquin Indians. The first two odd number squares of antiquity were the  3 x 3 and 5 x 5 (check my other blogs). The middle number of the 3 x 3 is 5. The middle number of the bigger 5 x 5 is 13. Here’s how roses relate:

  • The rose has 5 “strong petals”.
  • It has 13 weaker petals on the outside
  • In geometry there are only 5 possible regular polyhedrons. (Platonic solids)
  • There are only  13 semi-regular solids (called the Archimedian solids)
  • Number squares set the entire pattern for the cosmos.
  • 5 and 13 are central numbers on the goddess culture 3 x 3 and 5 x 5 number squares, respectively,  used in Neolithic times.
  • In Hebrew letters doubled as numbers with a single symbol. This is called by the Greek name, gematria. I have blogged about how numerous names that our Creator is referred to in the Torah, duplicate key numbers of 3 x 3 and 5 x 5 squares.
  • Related image
The 13 semi regular solids were names after Archimedes

Many of my 146 blogs thus far are about the number squares. All are easily accessible along with our many musical blogs.  We have concerts, shows and music- all original.  Many are on the thumbnails and can be viewed for free on  Number squares were the basis of goddess cultures. This knowledge has been lost. On my products page, I have 100 pages with the poetry that the Oquaga Spirit dictated to me. I added pictures. What is the conclusion: With knowledge, a Golden Age  of peace and plenty can be regained. I plan, the Holy Name willing, to keep blogging until that happens – David.

How Harmony and Measure Hide in God’s Hebrew Names

How Harmony and Measure Hide in God’s Hebrew Names: God has two primary names in the Torah. The Creator is called Elohim  אֱלֹהִים . The revealed God to Moses, Yahweh  as  יְהֹוָה.  Names are aspects of God. God has 7 primary names in the Torah. These have 70 manifestations. The total is  7 + 70 = 77.

  • Ancient Hebrew has no separate number system. A letter and a number shared the same symbol. Contrarily, in English we have letters of the alphabet. Then we also have digits.
  • Every word in Hebrew had a numerical equivalent. Thus, the Hebrew letters for Elohim total 86. The Hebrew letters for Yahweh total 26.
  • Letters in words were pyramided to obscure meanings: The the four letter name of God is an example that in pyramided style became: Yud = 10;  yud + hei = 15;  yud + hei + vav = 21;  yud + hei + vav + hei = the full 72. The total of the pyramided name of Yahweh is 72.
  • In the same manner, Elohim, when spelled with pyramided letters totals 200.
  • You can compare the concept of these secrets within secrets to the Russian Matryoshka doll.
  • Matryoshka set in a row. A secret with a secret lies hidden by one doll inserted into the other.

These pyramided values of these primary names of God total 272 as 72 + 200 = 272.

  • The Tie in of God With Harmony and Measure

  • Plato discusses how 272 was the great number of harmony.  Read my previous blog on entitled Harmony’s Number for the background.
  • In measure one megalithic yard = 2.72 feet
  • Multiply the two hidden names of God and we obtain the total number of 12 inch feet in the classic megalithic mile. It is found all over the ancient world: 72 x 200 = 14,400.

Finally, on the background of number 77 given above: In Hebrew the numerical equivalent of “luck” מזל. Numerically it totals 77. This number doubles God’s 7 primary names with 70 manifestations. In no uncertain terms, all luck comes from God. To have luck is to have the blessings of God. As strongly as we wish for luck, so should we court His blessings.  How Harmony and Measure Hide in God’s Hebrew Names– I hope your expectation has been fulfilled.

Our Musical Circle of Fifths and Plato-

The dodecahedron (regular solid made of 12 regular pentagons) was considered to contain the shape of the universe. Today, it holds the shape of our musical universe (circle of fifths).

Our Musical Circle of Fifths and Plato- Is this connection crazy? After all, Plato was born about 428 BC. Our Circle of Fifths, which most of our present day music is based on, came into being in France and Germany in the later 1700’s and then spread to England in the 1800’s. Plato wrote extensively about the five regular polyhedrons; the dodecahedron, pictured above, being the most complex of the five. He speculated on their nature in Timaeus c.360BC.

Here is the parallel:

  1. The 5th tone in the C major scale (which has no sharps or flats) is “G” as C,D,E,F,G.  The last tone, “G” defines the home tone of the next major scale in the circle, G major.
  2. The 5th tone of the G major scale (which has an F sharp in the key signature)  is “D” as G.A.B.C.D.  The last tone “D” defines the home tone of the next major scale, D major.
  3. The 5th tone of the D major scale (which has F and C sharps) is A as D,E,F,G,A. The last tone A, defines the home tone of the next major scale, A major.

This sequence keeps on going through all 12 key signatures of our circle of fifths. In the picture above, C#,Gb, and Cb are called enharmonic and are attached as doubles called by different letter names  written out  at the bottom of the illustration:  C# and Db major are played on the same piano keys; as are F# and Gb major; and B and Cb major.  Thought they are 15 by name, they are 12 by actual number.

So where is Plato in all of this? The geometry of the dodecahredon parallels our circle of fifths as follows: If the defining 5 tones of the key are each set in the vertex of a pentagon, then the 12 scales perfectly outline the figure of the dodecahedron. As the Platonic solids considered perfect and totally symmetrical, and symbolized the totality of the universe; then we can say the same of our Circle of Fifths . It too is perfect, totally balanced and places us in this state of mind when we listen to it. Our Musical Circle of Fifths and Plato- translates to a new definition of music: Music is paradise in sound. The art offers no less.
