Remen Measure was Known by Moses

Remen Measure was Known by Moses. According to the Hebrew Bible, he was adopted by an Egyptian princess.  Later in life became the leader of the Israelites and lawgiver.  He is generally credited with the authorship of the Torah, or acquisition of the Torah. His position in Egypt gave him access to knowledge possessed by  the higher echelons of royalty. He knew source of the remen, in at least two different mathematical ways, is the 3 x 3 number square.

1.2165 feet = 1 remen
1.2165 feet x √2 = 1.72 feet – one royal cubit
1.2165 feet x √3 = 2.107 feet- one Palestinian cubit
1.2165 feet x  √4 = 2.43 feet – one Roman pace
1.2165 feet x  √5 = 2.72 feet – one megalithic yard etc., up to

Here is the 1st approach to the Remen measure:

  • Add the numbers around the central 5 (I term these numbers p1 which stands for perimeter one). The eight numbers total 40.
  • Then add them two at the time overlapping the numbers. I call this p-2. This stands for perimeter two: 49 + 92 + 27 + 76 + 61 + 18 + 83 + 34 = 440. Now take the number three at the time.
  • Add them 3 at the time. Overlap the corners. I call this p-3. This stands for perimeter three:  492 + 276 + 618 +  834 = 2,220. Then (p-1)   is 40 + (P-2)  is 440 + ( P-3) 2,220  = 2700.
  • Finally, divide the 2700 total of p1 + p2 + p3 by/ p3(2220): Thus, 40 + 440 + 2220/2220 = 1.2162…virtually one Egyptian remen.

2nd Approach to Arriving at the Remen Measure

remen measure
Everything that John Michell wrote by himself and with Christine Rhone is a must read. He explains the Canon of Measures. I simply applied it to the 3 x 3 number square.

Add the numbers on the square above three at the time. Do this vertically and horizontally as follows:

  • Horizontally: (492 + 618) +  (357 + 753) +  (816 + 294) = 3330.
  • Vertically: (438 + 672) +  (951 + 159) + (438 + 672) = 3330.

Next, total the single numbers, 1 to 9,  in the number square:

  • 1 + 2 + 3+ 4+ 5+ 6+ 7+8 + 9 = 45.
  •  Take the sum of the vertical and horizontal totals given above: 3330 + 3330  = 6660, Then divide 6660 by  the 45 total. The quotient is 148.  The square root of 148 is exactly the numbers of 10 Egyptian remens by number= 12.165…

For the 2nd way, 148  is the key number. So, how does this tie into Moses? In Hebrew Passover is spelled פסח. The 1st letter (pei)  is the glyph for  80. The 2nd (sameck) is the glyph for  60. The third (chet) represents 8. Thus, 80 + 60 + 8 = 148. Passover and the remen measure are thus tied together.

How did I learn to work the mathematical  intricacies  of the 3 x 3 number square? From an American Indian spirit on Oquaga Lake. She was of the Lennie Lenape tribe. On walks in the Oquaga Lake area, the spirit communicated ancient secrets to me. The tribe once lived around the lake. I was the house piano player at Scott’s Oquaga Lake House.

Worldly Word Reveals Knowledge of Ancient Egypt

Worldly Word Reveals Knowledge of Ancient Egypt. This blog is based on one word. It is the Hebraic word for “world.”  עולם.  How is this possible? In Hebrew letters doubled as numbers. This is also true of numerous Middle Eastern languages. There were no separate symbols for letters and numbers. They shared the same glyph. This commonality is called  by a Greek term – gematria:

Gematria /ɡəˈmtriə/ (Hebrewגמטריא‬ גימטריא‬, plural גמטראות‬ or גמטריאות‬, gematriot)[1] originated as an Assyro-Babylonian-Greek system of alphanumeric code or cipher.   It was later adopted into Jewish culture that assigns numerical value to a word, name, or phrase. The belief was that words or phrases with identical numerical values bear some relation to each other or bear some relation to the number itself.  It can apply to Nature, a person’s age, the calendar year, or the like…

Start with a square each side one remen. The Egyptian remen is approximately 1.2165 feet. Keep dropping the diagonal as pictured. You then duplicate the measures of ancient civilizations. This was discovered at the turn of the 20th century. Jay Hambidge wrote and lectured about his discovery. His magazine was called The Diagonal.

Remen, Egyptian and where this Ancient Measure Came … – DSO Works

Universal Egyptian Remen is Found Throughout the … – DSO Works

So What’s with the Hebraic Worldly Word that Holds the Egyptian Remen?

The gematria of  עולם which means world, is 146: Ayin is 70, vav is 6, lamed is 30 and mem is 40. Thus, 70 + 6 + 30 + 40 = 146. One remen = 14.6 inches. In antiquity numbers were freely multiplied by powers of 10. Their concept of nfinity is blogged about on DSOworks. Also the inch existed in ancient civilizations. John Michell discusses, in his View Over Atlantis, how the standard of weight in the ancient world was the cubic inch of gold. To verify this, simply go to the British Museum. A number of specimens from various regions are to be found there. How did the Egyptian remen also become the 146 gematria for Hebrew word for world as the standard of worldly word measure? As the Egyptian link, the answer is Moses. He would be well versed in Egyptian mysteries.

Different Takes on Faith

Peace Can be Acquired By Uncovering the Distant Past

Peace Can be Acquired By Uncovering the Distant. The key is using numbers five and six. Worldwide measure was once based on their interaction. Five was considered to be yin. Six was yang. They interacted through the megalithic yard. Through the Middle Ages five and six were still key numbers. At the time, the rose with its five strong petals was yin. The lily with its six petals was considered yang. Author, John Michell, discusses the topic in his City of Revelation.  See chapter six,  Sacred Geometry, The Plan of the Holy City.

Peace comes through the interplay of 5 and 6; yin and yang respectively.
A vision of peace comes by bringing 5 (symbolizing man); and (6) symbolizing the cosmos together.

How were 5 and 6 brought together to Create Peace?

They were unified by a Neolitic measure, the megalithic yard. It is 2.72 feet. Professor A. Thom of Oxford University discovered it in the late 1960’s. It had a worldwide use. Here is the formula for the measure.  The number was then taken as feet. The 12 inch foot is of great antiquity. The cubic inch of gold was a standard unit of weight in Summeria, Babylon and Greece. Examples can be found at the British Museum. A cube has 12 edges. Thus, 12 edges x 1 inch = 1 foot.

  • 5 x 6/ 5 + 6 = 2.727272……

The 2.72 foot measure was also projected by the Egyptian Canon of measures. I think the MY’s relationship of 5 to 6 was rediscovered by myself?  The Egyptian formula was expressed differently. The megalithic yard was: the square root of 5  x  1.2165 foot Egyptian remen = 2.72 feet.

Israel Partakes of the 5 and 6 Tradition for Peace.

Six is obvious. It is the 6-pointed Star of David. Finding 5 involves gematria. This is a word that expresses the total unity the numbers and letters once had. There were no separate letter and number systems. Israel in Hebrew translates to 541  (יִשְׂרָאֵל). One (1) was often added to words for the presence of God. The tradition was called colel. How does that relate to number five? A pentagon (five-sided, plane geometrical figure) has 540 degreees.

What About the Oquaga Spirit and Peace?

So where does my poetry book The Oquaga Spirit Speaks come in? In my case, knowledge and insight came on Oquaga Lake. I spent many summers at Scotts Oquaga Lake House as the piano player. A spirit would keep me company on my hikes through nature. The blogs  are all free. If you feel like it, read the words of the Indian spirit in this book. It is posted as a product on DSOworks.com. Download is $7.99,  Hard copy has just been made available on demand. Price for the 80 poems and all color pictures is $29.99. Add $5.00 for shipping and handling.

Passover holds an Egyptian unit of measure called the remen.

Passover is related to the Egyptian remen. Here’s How.

Passover is related to the Egyptian remen. Here’s How. First fact to know: The Egyptian remen measures approxomately 1.2165 feet. It is well established that many ancient units of measure are derived from this figure. In the year 1921, Jay Hambidge toured the USA lecturing about his discovery. Multiply this remen by the square roots of 2,3,4,5,etc…We  have:

  • 1.2165 x square root of 2 =1.72 feet.One royal cubit
  • 1.2165 x square root of   3 =2.107 feet. One Palestinian cubit.
  • 1.2165 x square root of 4 = 2.433 feet. One Roman pace.
  • 1.2165 x square root of 5 = 2.72 feet, One megalithic yard.

Passover Holds a Code of Measure Used Worldwide at One Time

Second thing to understand: In antiquity numbers and letters shared the same symbol. This was called “gematria”. A word could be connected to a measure. Therefore, every letter, word, phrase, sentence, etc. had a numerical value. Here is the big co-incidence: In Hebrew the word, Passover, equates with 148: פֶּ֥סַח (pronounced Pesach-gutteral ach). Hebrew is read right to left. Peh, the 1st letter, equals 80. Samech, the 2nd letter, equals, 60. Ches, the 3rd letter, equals 8. Here we go: 80 + 60 + 8 = 148. Now you ask, where is are the numbers of the remen? The square root of 148  is 12165…These are the exact numbers of the remen. The remen places the decimal point after the first “one”. We have 1.2165…feet as the basis of ancient measure.

Christ, in I Corinthians  5:7 called “our Passover”

So how is Chritianity connected to the remen? In the language Greek letters also doubled as numbers. They had unified symbols. Christ in Greek is spelled Χριστός. By Greek “gematria” the numerical equivalent of 1480. Passover in Hebrew is 148. It all ties into the remen. These figures can be double checked on the computer. John Michell, in his numerous works, also discusses the subject. I recommend reading as much of him as possible. He will start you on a lifelong adventure. Enjoy! – David.

Mosaic Ten Commandments Patterned on Simple Number Square

Remen, Egyptian and where this Ancient Measure Came From.

Remen, Egyptian and where this Ancient Measure Came From. There are several sources of ancient measures. All are valid. Jay Hambidge lectured about his discovery: The Ancient Canon of Measures. This was at the turn of the 20th century. He started with a square. Each side measured 1 Egyptian remen. Then he drew a diagonal from an upper corner. It bisected the base (half diagonal is not in picture below. He shows other measures in this particular diagram).  This “half diagonal” is also basic to ancient measure. Incidentally, this half diagonal is 1.118 times longer than any of the one remen square’s sides. The number 1.118 is the key concept of Judaism as follows:

  •  The most sacred prayer in Judaism is the Shema Yisroel. It declares the oneness of God.   שְׁמַע, יִשְׂרָאֵל:  יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, יְהוָה אֶחָד. (Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One). The Scripture is taken from Deuteronomy 6:4.
  • In many Middle eastern languages letters doubled as the numbers. There was no separate number system like English. Translating the words to numbers, they equal 1,118. It is the same as the ratio of the half diagonal to any side of the initial square. Anyone who knows Hebrew can double check my figures.
  • This system is popularly called “gematria”-a Greek word. John Michell discusses this topic in his numerous works.
Remen is the measure of each side of the initial square marked by AKB and the ight end of arrow "V1".
The half diagonal of the initial square, AKB and 4th point,( the right end of line V1,)  is 1.118 tones longer than any side. Each side measures a remen of 1,2165 feet.  The half diagonal is not in this particular  illustration. The half diagonal is elaborated on in City of Revelation by John Michell. Above picture is the  Jay Hambidge drawing of the dynamic rectangle from “The Elements of Dynamic Symmetry,” Dover Art Instruction, 1926.

The Egyptian Remen Comes From a Formula Involving the 3 x 3 Number Square in Its traditional Arrangement

Decoding the 1st sentence of Genesis is a full time job.

Work with your calculator to double check me.

  • Add the numbers around the central 5 (I term these numbers p1 which stands for perimeter one). The eight numbers total 40.
  • Then add them two at the time overlapping the numbers. (I call this p-2. This stands for perimeter two: 49 + 92 + 27 + 76 + 61 + 18 + 83 + 34 = 440. Now take the number three at the time.
  • Overlap the third with the first number. I call this p-3. This stands for perimeter three.  492 + 276 + 618 +  834 = 2,220.Then (p-1)   is 40 + (P-2)  is 440 + ( P-3) 2,220  = 2700. Finally, Divide the 2700 total of p1 + p2 + p3 by/ p3(2220)  or 40 + 440 + 2220/2220 = 1.2162…virtually one Egyptian remen.

This is most appropriate because numerous sources call this tiny 3 x 3 number square the engineer’s number square. I have been spent years searching out how ancient builders worked with it, worldwide. On the Great Pyramid of Egypt, each side of the square base = 440 cubits (perimeter two’s numerical total).

Why all this fuss? Peace is based on what we all have in common. This tiny number square provides the seed of peace in this regard. It needs to be planted and cultivated. Now is the time. The engineer’s number square can give us an harmonious vision for mankind.
