Peaceful training as per the Oquaga Spirit

Peaceful Training as per the Oquaga Spirit

Peaceful Training as per the Oquaga Spirit. With a wave of a wand, I become a poet. I’ve always just been a composer of music. However, at Oquaga Lake I met a spirit. She loves to dictate poetry to me. This happens no where else. The resort is in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. It is 25 miles East of Binghamton, New York. US-17 is the road that skirts the resort. Just drive straight up the slope for about 3.5 miles and you’re there.

Peaceful Training was on Oquaga Lake

The Scott family have a huge presence on the lake. I have been in their employment for about 15 non-consecutive years. My first year was 1983. Eventually, the wisdom of the Oquaga Spirit as spoken  will be on this site. Here is one of her poems from that summer of ’83. That year she seemed to have preferred mostly iambic pentameter in quatrains. That translates to 5 beats per measure in groups of four lines. That became my 1st book of Oquaga Lake poetry, entitled, The Book of Balance. Later the spirit used triple meter with rhyme shaped by quatrains. The the result of the triple meter book is The Oquaga Spirit Speaks. It is available as a product on DSOworks.com.

Peaceful Training as per The Oquaga Spirit

Training for a subject means following a system for mastery.
In sports that means specific and proven exercises
Diet must be regulated for strength and endurance.
Athletes need to partake of practice situations.

Playing a musical instrument requires training.
Various technical problems need to be overcome.
Tone production and theory are of great assistance.
Rehearsals are necessary to prepare for the concert.

Studying for an exam necessitates a systematic approach.
Facts should be reviewed on a regular basis.
Primary concepts should be learned before the secondary,
Lists of questions and answers are also helpful.

For nations, training for war has become routine.
People, time and resources are channeled into conflict.
Mankind has come to accept war as a fact of life.
We eat, drink, sleep, and go to war.

The way of war goes back to recorded history.
Even now we still send many to the slaughter of battle.
Should you ask: Is there really an alternative?
I would answer with a question, how many train for peace?

Training for peace also requires diligence.
Departments of Defense and War have become the norm.
But you ask, isn’t war a part of human nature?
No, we always have a choice between the two?

It seems we’ve fallen in efforts for peaceful training;
Even though we have one such world organization.
Everyone knows of the United Nations in New York.
We can also to help peaceful efforts along:

Anyone can practice peace in daily dealings,
And remember the saying: “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Good deeds definitively promote the cause of peace.
Conclusion: Peace is paradise for all, and yet. possible.

Magical Bluestone Rock Where the Lennie Lenape Dwelt

Magical Bluestone Rock from Bluestone Mountain

Magical Bluestone Rock from Bluestone Mountain at Scott’s Oquaga Lake House. This is where: “The hills are alive with the sound of music”. The family has been keeping the music going 7 days/week. The Scotts have been called the Von Trapp family of the Catskills.

The Deposit, New York  variety of Bluestone only occurs around the Deposit New York. Bluestone in different varieties exist around the world. I discovered Bluestone Mountain Scott’s Oquaga Lake House. We lived at Blue Stone Farm during the Summer season. It is situated close to the foot of Oquaga Lake. The quarry actually extends down to the farm. Bluestone slabs were all around us.   At Scott’s I led hiking expeditions. We scaled Bluestone Mountain to the quarry. Slabs were actually cut, removed and stacked.  Many of my 266 blogs (and more to come) were inspired by an American Indian spirit. I sensed she was of the matriarchal Lennie Lenape tribe. This spirit enlightened me on Neolithic number squares and their hidden numerical codes. She also dictated  books of poetry.  The Oquaga Spirit Speaks is one of them.  It is currently available on DSOworks.com as a product. The rock was  prized  by my fellow hikers. Nobody left Scott’s without taking home a small rock.

Carn Menyn bluestones. These dolerite slabs, split by frost action, seem to be stacked ready for the taking and many have been removed over the centuries for use locally but it remains unresolved whether the Stonehenge bluestones were conveyed thence by human or glacial means.

Children canoeing on spring fed Oquaga Lake. Atleast they are trying to without bumping into each other. Bluestone slabs also uderlie the lake.

The Poem About Magical Bluestone Mountain as Dictated by the Oquaga Spirit

A mountain of magical stone,
A giant wall of rock
Quarried in antiquity
To build a famous clock

Shaped into evolving circles
By which lunar cycles were timed;
And with it the arc of the Sun
Was harmonized in rhyme.

This mandala, wrought of bluestone,
A mystery yet it be;
Is called by the name Stonehenge
That so many still flock to see.

On such a mountain of bluestone dwell I
Next to Oquaga Lake’s shore.
With harmonious peace all around,
It seems like Stonehenge – at its core.

oquaga spirit seems to really enjoy Halloween

Halloween, A Brightly Lit Moon and Black Cats Dashing By

Halloween, a brightly lit Moon and Black Cats Dashing By. Happy Halloween. Yes, the Oquaga Spirit seems to enjoy Halloween. The Spirit offered me a poem for my book entitled, The Oquaga Spirit Speaks. I call it “Autumn’s Party”. I’ve memorized every poem in the book and daily practice their recitation. My goal is to one day tour the world reciting the poems of this spirit.  I sense she is  from the Lennie Lenape tribe. She would accompany me on my hikes around the mountains. Later I would recite the poems at the public libraries in the Catskills and on group hikes. It’s all part of a book of poetry that the spirit dictated to me over several years. At Scott’s Oquaga Lake House I was the pianist for their occasions for some 15 years, It was there I made the acquaintance of the spirit. The spirit dwells on and around Oquaga Lake located in the scenic Catskill Mountains.

This is the Home of the Scott Family since 1869- and, the Oquaga Spirit who “ignored my tranquility” as she dictated her poems. Above, from right to left are Michael, Scotty (patriarch), Gary, Michelle, Patty and  majestic matriarch, Doris. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It Must Be Halloween!

Memorizing poetry is  good for the mind. These poems also offer therapy. They have the ability to keep you happy even in these difficult times. It that way, it seems like the spirit’s poems have a healing quality. They are available on DSOworks.com as a product quite inexpensively.  If you are short on funds, be patient. Eventually they will all  be posted and blogged about, one at the time, for free!

Oquaga Lake at sundown: “The Lake is like a kaleidoscope whose colors constantly change.”

Autumn’s Party

Autumn’s throwing a party
On a massive scale
With acorns, squash and pumpkins
Wine cider and ale.

Everyone’s preparing-
For that special night-
Ghosts, goblins, witches,
Things that cause a fright.

But, on the darkened evening
In the air is there’s glee,
As children don their costumes
Making revelry.

“Trick or treat’s” the cry
That fills the night time air.
And when you open your doors,
At devils and demons do you stare.

“Boo!” yells a ghost
Barely three feet tall.
“Careful,” you reply
“Or down the stairs you’ll fall.”

The barren, eerie trees
Against a brightly lit Moon…
Back cats dashing by
As overhead bats swoon.

Water a scary party,
Delight in fright it seems.
Orange and black banners?
It must be Halloween!

Make the Oquaga spirit be with you; and, Happy Halloween!   -David.

Measurements are in three primary units

Measurements at the Great Pyramid

Measurements at the Great Pyramid used 3 primary units. The foot, Egyptian cubit and megalithic yard.  They are to be found on plate XXII in The View Over Atlantis. First, a little background from WikipediaJohn Michell was an English author.  He was a prominent figure in the Earth mysteries movement. He published over forty books.

  • The megalithic yard is approximated by 2.72 feet.
  • The Egyptian cubit is the shorter of 1.718 feet.
  • The foot used was the standard 12 inch foot.

Author John Michell Goes into Great Depths on Measurements of Ancient Sites

Measurements of ancient holy sites play a prominent part in the works of John Michell
Michell, a master at uncovering the lost relationship of words and numbers.

What I have discovered: All three units are found in the 3 x 3 number square. All three units are co-measurable. One equals the other on a linear basis.

  • The perimeter of the base is 1,110 megalithic yards.
  • It measurements by feet are within a fraction, 3,024.
  • In the shorter Egyptian cubits (1.718 feet) 1760.

The 3 x 3 square uses numbers 1 to 9. Any row of three totals 15. An Indian spirit priestess from the Lennie Lenape tribe was my mentor. She taught me abut the hidden codes when i dwelled on  Oquaga Lake. I was the accompanist and pianist at Scott’s Oquaga Lake House for some 15 years.

Measurements of the Neolithiic and Mesolithic cultures came from this number square
Traditional arrangement of the 3 x 3 number square.
  • View the square by 3 numbers at the time. Pair them by opposites. Also, any three numbers that cross the center is its own opposite number. Their sum is always 1,110. Example, 492 + 618 = 1,110.  Or, 951 + 159 = 1,110.
  • View the square 2 numbers at the time by opposites. Any two numbers that crosses the center are paired in the same row. The sum is always 110. Thus, 49 + 61 = 110. Or, 35 + 75 = 110.              The 110 can be pulled out of the square in 16 ways. Thus, 16 X 110 = 1,760.
  • So where is the feet? How do we come by its 3,024? Remove the four corner numbers as 1,3,5, and 8. The 5 remaining numbers by tradition are called the gnomon. Multiply these 5 numbers: We have 4 x 9  x 2 x 7 x 6 = 3024. How about the corner, you ask? It enumerates the number of inches in a foot. First, keep in mind, the above number square freely multiplies or divides it significant sums by powers of 10.  It can go to the infinitely large or small. I already have  blogs explaining this. Just press “all posts” on DSOworks.com. Thus we have,  1 x 3 x 5 x 8 =  120.  Divide 120 by 10 = 12. This specifies the inches in the foot.

Conclusion: What unifies us in turn makes us family. We need  treat each other with kindness and respect. I feel we are about to enter a wonderful new era of peace and plenty. God has blessed us. Finally, I have just received the best news while working on this blog. It will be posted as an event on DSOworks.com. Our new musical, Golden Roads, will headline a major Sarasota arts festival! Keep watching.
